Privacy Policy

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the calculators, converters, simulators, and related content available on the Tooolbox website and its subpages.

The public contact channel for Tooolbox privacy questions is GitHub Issues. GitHub Issues may be publicly visible, so do not include sensitive personal data such as national ID numbers, passwords, or financial information.

2. Information we may collect or process

Tooolbox currently does not provide account registration, login, payments, or comments, and it does not ask for direct identifiers such as your name, home address, or phone number in order to use the calculators.

Calculator inputs are generally used in your browser to perform the requested calculation and are not stored by Tooolbox in a user profile. If you choose to use browser sharing, clipboard, or external service features, those providers may process information under their own policies.

• Automatically generated information: IP address, browser and device information, operating system, access time, pages viewed, referrer URL, approximate region, and error logs
• Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers used for ad delivery, visit statistics, security checks, frequency capping, and personalized advertising
• Inquiry information: names, usernames, message contents, and attachments that a user voluntarily provides through public channels such as GitHub

3. How we use information

• To provide calculators and related content reliably and display them for the user’s language, screen, and device environment
• To understand traffic, popular pages, and errors so we can improve features and content
• To detect and prevent fraudulent access, automated abuse, and security incidents
• To support the free service through advertising services such as Google AdSense
• To respond to legal obligations, disputes, rights requests, and service misuse

4. Cookies, advertising, and analytics

Tooolbox may use Google AdSense scripts and Google Tag Manager. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, advertising identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads, measure ad performance, and personalize ads based on prior visits, interests, and browser information.

If Google Analytics or other analytics tags are deployed through Google Tag Manager, page visits, device and browser information, and interaction events may be processed for usage statistics.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. Restricting some cookies may affect advertising, analytics, or convenience features.

5. Sharing and service providers

Tooolbox does not sell personal information. Service providers for hosting, security, advertising, analytics, and error monitoring may process automatically generated information or cookie information as needed to operate the service.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, lawful requests from authorities, protection of rights, or prevention of service abuse.

6. Retention

Tooolbox does not maintain member accounts or calculator inputs as user profiles. Automatically generated logs and analytics data are retained only as long as needed for service stability, security, statistics, or legal compliance.

Retention for data processed by third-party services depends on the provider’s policy and your settings. Records may be kept longer when required by law.

7. Your choices and rights

You can delete or block cookies through browser settings and change ad personalization preferences. To request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information, use the public contact channel.

When using a public contact channel, provide only the minimum information necessary to identify the request and do not post sensitive information.

8. Children’s privacy

Tooolbox is a general-purpose calculator service and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child’s personal information was posted through a public contact channel, they may request removal.

9. International transfers

Some third-party services used for advertising, analytics, hosting, and security may process information outside South Korea. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

10. Security

Tooolbox seeks to minimize direct identifier collection and apply reasonable technical and administrative safeguards such as HTTPS connections, access restrictions, and log review. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when service features, advertising and analytics tools, laws, or operating practices change. Important changes will be reflected by updating the effective date or last updated date on this page.
